Starliner Diamond

Southern Row corner of Bosworth Road

catering for young audiences

This huge street-corner rig has a genre-spanning music policy ranging from soca to dubstep alongside reggae and soul catering for the younger audiences. Built under sound leaders Khalile Treasure (aka Lightening) and Noel Gardner's trusty vision, the DJs and sound crew contain some of the youngest operators at Carnival.

Noel is a veteran of the sound game who has been in the business for over 40 years. He became prominent in the late 1970’s when with his colleague (Keithy Dread) built the very popular Highteous Sound which amongst the likes of Coxsone, Shaka, Fatman and Saxon were amongst the best 'reggae' Sound Systems of the era. Noel and Khalile ensure that young operators are being well schooled and mentored in the Carnival sound system game by their elders.

As such this carnival site is constantly evolving and has changed its name accordingly as new groups of  soundsystem youngsters are profiled at Carnival to ensure that passing on sound system knowledge and expertise onto the next generation is guaranteed. Expect not to be disappointed as this outfit surely do create a buzzing vibe.
